Intelligence team shortlisted for industry award

Our Business Intelligence team has been shortlisted for the healthcare industry’s foremost Business Intelligence award, earning a ‘highly commended’ rating from the judging panel.

Led by Jonathan Sammut, Director of Business Intelligence, the team submitted in the ‘Analyst Team of the Year’ category for this year’s BOBI awards - which recognises analysts who best demonstrate the ability to transform complex datasets into an engaging, interactive dashboard.

This year’s task required the teams to analyse complex data concerning potential over-use of opioids in the treatment of chronic pain, then present clear conclusions and recommendations together with a user-friendly analytical tool.

The team produces occupational health management information for more than 300 clients, ensuring that they benefit from 24/7 access to insightful reports, which are continuously used to drive insight for each of our clients.

In addition, the team supports data governance within the business and runs regular training sessions internally in order to drive best-in-class data literacy and data quality.

Speaking about the nomination, Jonathan Sammut said;

“We’re delighted to be under consideration for this award. Being shortlisted in this category demonstrates the skill of the Business Intelligence team, whose data and insight helps businesses to make informed decisions regarding their employees’ health. Gaining industry recognition for our work is very gratifying, especially when this was in a field of healthcare which we have not explored before.”

The annual awards event, run by the BHBIA (British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association), will take place via a virtual ceremony on 4 December 2020.
