Occupational health can be traced back as far as Ancient Greece; discover how this discipline has developed over the years.

Occupational Health is the promotion and maintenance of the highest degree of physical, mental and social wellbeing of workers in all occupations by preventing departures from health, controlling risks and the adaptation of work to people, and people to their jobs.

Put very simply, occupational health is about measuring and managing the effects of work on a person's health, and of a person's health on their ability to work.
